Bayeux is a wonderful town that served as our base to visit the Normandy countryside. We loved it here and could have stayed for much longer. The town is untouched because the Pastor who presided over the cathedral during World War II convinced the powers that be, that the town was not a good strategic point for the invasion. Amazing. This lovely well preserved town is friendly and has lots of history of it’s own. The cathedral was among the prettiest we saw.
