About me

I am an older, non traditional premedical student in Seattle, Washington. I returned to school at age 38 with the intention of pursuing my bachelors degree in the life sciences.  During my first year of school, I participated in a study abroad program in the rural mountains of Jamaica. This experience changed my perspective and my life. I am now planning to major in Global Health, and apply to medical school. I am now committed to participating in a service trip every year that I can. My second year of school I participated in a photography class. Photography is an amazing tool that we can use to document what is happening around us. I want to use this blog to document my journey of life as a mom, a global citizen, a premedical student, my travels, my mission and my journey.
