Women’s March 2018

It was never a dress. I loved this sign, because inside each woman is a superhero. We are half the population, and we are more politically alive than ever. This awakening has inspired some of the fastest social change in history with the #metoo movement, as acknowledged by the Time Magazine recognition of the Silence Breakers as person of the year. In 2018, many news sources noted that the march had become more about specific political issues rather than anti-misogyny or anti-discrimination like it was in 2017, and this certainly seemed true in Seattle. We certainly have much work to do, and judging by the numbers of women who are now running for office, we will show up to do the work.
