Our visit to the Shetland Islands in Scotland came complete with a bright fog that hugged the hillsides as we toured the island. This, we were told, is great weather for the Shetland Islands. Our main stop was Clickimin Broch, an amazing example of a broch where structures date all the way back to 1000 BC. The hills were rolling with gorgeous heather in full bloom, dotted with sheep and abandoned stone homes. The beach where we stopped for photos had seals resting lazily on the sand. The Shetand Islands had a feeling of fresh air unlike anywhere I’ve ever been, and it was easy to fall in love with this place.
